America celebrates its independence July 4, but for Victoria and David Beckham, the date has deeply personal significance.
The British couple married July 4, 1999, and to mark the special occasion, Victoria posted photos from their wedding on her Instagram page Friday.
The first photo she shared showed the former Spice Girl hugging her soccer star husband while wearing a tiara and giving a rare smile.
“15 beautiful years,” the 40-year-old fashion designer wrote. “We feel so blessed and thank you all for your love and support over the years. Such a special day for us all x vb.”
Victoria followed up with a picture taken at their reception that showed her and David clad in matching purple outfits – he in a suit, she in a form-fitting gown – as they cut their wedding cake with a sword.
“Thank you for your beautiful messages. It’s such a special day for us both. Your love and support means so much x vb,” she wrote.
The fashion designer also posted a photo on Twitter that showed the newlywed couple along with their eldest son, Brooklyn, who was only a few months old when his parents wed.
“How cute is Brooklyn! Such a special day with David today x,” Victoria tweeted.
The couple’s happy union has produced four children: Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 11, Cruz, 9 and Harper, almost 3.
